Wilder & Associates leads the pack when it comes to technology
Here at Wilder & Associates, we always try to be on the forefront of appraisal technology. From smart phones, to laptops, GPS, you name it. Call us geeks. Call us nerds. Call us what you will, but by all means, call us at 402-331-8030 for appraisal orders in Sarpy County! Why? We're glad you asked.
The appraisal process has rapidly evolved lately and most would say, it's a lot more demanding than in the past. We offer the highest quality appraisals, and cutting corners goes against our core values. So, the logical place to save time is in our daily workflow. The appraisers that have continuously embraced new technology have been the ones able to consistently satisfy their customers with more accurate reports, better customer service and faster turnaround times.
Way back when, a lot of our orders came in via fax and were confirmed with phone calls once we got back into the office. It might be hours before a client even knew if we could do the order. These days, when orders are entered on this website, we get an e-mail on our phones. We can even log into this site from the field and send back an e-mail confirmation – including the time and date for the inspection if we've been able to talk to the occupant.
Just look at how Wilder & Associates makes ordering easier
At Wilder & Associates we understand it's all about "cycle time". We use our resources to reduce waiting between communications since the speed at which we get things done directly effects your bottom-line. This website has proven to reduce cycle time for us and our clients by enhancing our communications.
Using Technology in the Field
The appraisal process is nothing if not a demanding procedure. We spend a great deal of time obtaining the facts on the subject property and the local market data and trends. Once again, technology has stepped in to help Wilder & Associates.
We've learned that taking notes the standard way, using pencil and paper, generally takes longer since we we have to enter everything back in at the office. Don't be surprised to see us with a tablet PC or collecting data using a program written for our phones that even lets us sketch a floorplan right on site. And instead of using an old tape measure, more and more appraisers are utilizing accurate laser measuring devices that also help measure hard to access areas.
All of this technology ensures that the final report is as comprehensive and without error as possible, requiring fewer call-backs and revisions. Our goal is to save you time and money.
Appraisal Report Delivery
At a very minimum, you can expect us to deliver your final report electronically as a PDF. Most of our clients prefer e-mail because we're all accustomed to getting attachments like PDFs in our mail. It's a lot faster than the old days when everything was on paper. But, we've even been able to innovate report delivery with this website.
Everyone knows how frustrating it is to lose a file. Or have you ever had an attachment blocked because of the file size? We have the technology to overcome those problems, too. When we deliver an appraisal through this website, the client gets a link sent to their email to retrieve the PDF. By bypassing email completely we can get around any problems caused by file size. And the download link is good for 90 days. So if anything happens to the file, you can log back in here and retrieve it again without even calling us or waiting for us to get to a computer so we can send it again.
Wilder & Associates makes things easier by using Digital Workfiles
It would probably be easier if appraisers could complete a report, give it to the client and never be concerned with seeing that document again. However, appraisals are used to document the condition of a property on the inspection date. Therefore, appraisers must keep their reports for 5 years, allowing them to recall any appraisal at any time to either defend the valuation or to be used in other legal proceedings.
Here again, Wilder & Associates leverages our experience with technology to improve service. We store every part of the appraisal - notes, sketches, supporting documentation and calculations - along with the appraisal electronically, we can pull up the entire file whenever it's needed and recall precisely what that report was about.
We just wanted to give you a little bit of insight into how we use our technology daily. Utilizing the right tools, along with the appraisal know-how that you've grown to expect allows the appraiser to deliver reports quicker, more efficiently and with higher degrees of accuracy.
